​​Living Independently for Equality, Inc. is a 501(c)3 non profit organization that provides services to people over the age of 18 who live with physical disabilities. Founded in 1983 by the late Executive Director Rae Zuckerman, the organization provides an opportunity for these individuals, many of whom are wheelchair bound and would otherwise live as shut-ins, to enjoy social interaction and find new meaning in their lives. The organization's LIFE Center, where activities are provided and friendships are kindled, is the only facility of its kind in Massachusetts.
